BSN
Nurses who earn a BSN usually get more responsibilities and earn higher salaries than nurses that have an Associate’s Degree. You can earn your BSN or go RN to BSN.
MSN
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is a graduate-level degree that focuses on a particular area and is typically two years in duration.
DNP
The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) focuses on clinical practice as opposed to a research-focused doctoral degree. It usually takes 3-5 years to complete.
Certificates
Nursing Certificates and Nursing certifications are often confused for one another, or used interchangeably because of the similarities in their name. Most people, however, are unaware that they are two separate things. Find a list of some of the characteristics that differentiate the two.
Related Degrees
Besides from the traditional BSN, MSN, and DNP degrees, there are a wealth of other degrees nurses can pursue in order to further their career in the critical care field. These include Masters in Public Health (MPH), Health Management, and Epidemiology.

Registered Nurses (RNs) pursuing a degree have the option to choose a specialization, often referred to as a track, in which they take certain classes that give their degree a more specific focus which will in turn help them enter a specific field of nursing including: Nurse Educator, Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Leader, Clinical Nurse Leader.
